Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Vocasis ("we") collects through vocasis.com and our social media publishing tool, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.
1. Who we are
Vocasis is building Vocasis, an app where you learn to speak Arabic by talking with Layla, an AI tutor. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@vocasis.com.
2. What we collect on this website
- When you join the waitlist: your email address, your first name if you give it, the time you agreed to be contacted and the wording you agreed to, the campaign or website that sent you (for example "instagram" or "tiktok"), whether you used a phone, tablet or computer, and your browser's preferred language.
- When you visit: anonymous counts only - how many people visited, from where they came and how many pressed the button. To count a visitor once a day we combine their network address and browser with a random value that is replaced every day and deleted when the day ends, so we cannot recognise you on another day and we keep no network addresses.
- We use no cookies, no advertising or analytics trackers and no third-party scripts on this website.
3. Why we use it
Only to tell you about early access and the launch of Vocasis, and to understand which posts and places bring people to us. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.
4. Who processes it
The website and the waitlist run on our own server (rented from Hostinger) and are kept by us. When we email the waitlist we will use an email delivery provider; we will name it here before the first email is sent. Nobody else receives your details, unless the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe, and in any case no longer than 12 months after Vocasis launches publicly unless you become a Vocasis user. Anonymous visit counts carry no personal data and may be kept.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw your consent, by writing to support@vocasis.com from the email you signed up with. We answer within 30 days. See how to delete your data. If you are in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law applies; you may also complain to the UAE Data Office.
7. Our social media tool
We publish our own videos to our own Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok accounts with a private tool that only our team uses. It reads the public numbers of our own posts (views, likes, comments, followers) and the comments people leave on them, so that we can reply. It does not collect data about other users for any other purpose, stores login keys only on our own computer, and never shares platform data with anyone. Comments are read when we open them and are not stored.
8. Children
This website and the waitlist are for adults. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has joined, write to us and we will delete the details.
9. Security
Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), the waitlist is stored on our server with access limited to our team, and admin access needs a secret key.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we update the date above, and if the change matters for how we use your details we tell the waitlist by email first.
